The research in our lab is directed towards answering two questions:

  1. How do cells and organisms process signals from their environment?
  2. How do the underlying molecular pathways evolve?

To answer these questions we use a combination of computational, theoretical and experimental tools. Our experimental work has focussed on specific pathways in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisae.

Welcome to our lab!

Organisms sense and process several pieces of information in the environment so that they can react appropriately. In order to survive, they react to such information by sometimes making dramatic changes in their physiological state.

How do organisms react to their environment and how did they acquire the ability to do so? Our lab is interested in pursuing both experimental and theoretical avenues that provide a quantitative understanding of the signal processing capabilities of different organisms.
